Candidate will be responsible for helping in the production, modification and maintenance of the display layers of websites and web applications. Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies. Keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce, modify or maintain web solutions using a variety of technologies.
Work with programmers in implementing client- and server-side code to produce technical, interactive and database-driven sites.
Work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Actively contribute to discussions and brainstorming sessions as requested.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.
Attend client meetings if required.
Prioritize and manage your workload effectively.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and appropriate editing tools.
Demonstrable understanding of fundamental design skills such as Gestalt theory and how they apply to UI/UX development
Ability to utilize sitemaps, wireframes, and mockups to develop and communicate ideas.
Competent in JavaScript (including jQuery).
Ability to create clean, easily understood, and cross-platform-compatible code.
Some experience in the integration of server-side code to produce dynamic websites, particularly using AJAX, PHP, and SQL.
Proficiency in creating both pixel-perfect and vector graphics.
Experience in mobile UI/UX (mobile web, Android, iOS).
Good understanding of Web Accessibility and be able to demonstrate work that conforms to accessibility guidelines.
Knowledge of emerging web.
Good verbal communication.
Strong desire to learn and grow.
Computer Skills:
Notepad(or any code editor)
Photoshop/Illustrator
Knowledge of using command-line Linux systems a plus.
